Turn Anger Into Power! Vegeta’s All-Out Battle
Thanks to Vegeta, Frost is now not disqualified for using a weapon. Instead, he and Vegeta are going to be fighting in the next match. Frost thinks that Vegeta is too confident for his own good. He feels this way assuming that he just doesn’t think he can win without the benefit of a poisonous needle. Frost does, however, confirm that the trick he is pulling is his greatest strength. With the rules for this match being just a little different, in that weapons are permitted this time, Frost is overly confident. Frost even hints at the fact that Vegeta might die as a result. This would, of course, be on “accident”. The match then begins and Vegeta quickly transforms into a Super Saiyan. Immediately after this he charges at Frost and punches him in the gut. This sends him flying upwards and he crashes into the barrier that is surrounding the ring. With this he actually breaks it! Advantage Vegeta; the match is over.
Off to the side Beerus notices a small cut from the poison that Frost used on Goku’s hand. This confirms that Goku did in fact lose by his poison infected needle. Of course, Goku’s loss is erased and he now is granted the right to fight again. Goku states that he wants to go after Monaka; however, Beerus insists that he go after Vegeta. Naturally, Goku is worried that Vegeta and he will win the rest of the tournament on their own and they will not get to see Monaka fight. Beerus still insists that Monaka fight last. Whis begins to wonder just how long Beerus plans to hide “the truth” about Monaka from Goku, but Beerus doesn’t let him finish his thought and cuts him off. Goku, off to the side, examines Monaka and realizes just how calm and un-phased his is sitting there with his eyes closed. Whis informs him that Monaka lost his consciousness after watching his Kamehameha back in the first round. Goku is fixated on being able to spar with Monaka. That, or at least be able to talk to him. Beerus swears he will not allow this, and that if Monaka is distracted during his meditation, he will destroy anyone who does it! Goku chooses to listen to Beerus, though unwillingly, and leaves Monaka alone.
Suddenly, the referee announces a change of rules, to Beerus’s surprise. Slowly, a rectangular barrier around the ring is formed, which, if touched by anyone, even in mid-air, will result in a loss via ring-out. This new barrier limits the space the combatants have by a great deal. Vados admits with more time she could make a better one, and Champa defends this sudden change from an angered Beerus that because the atmospheric barrier was broken, he thought it would be a good idea to create a barrier around the ring, and to create the new real while they were at it. Beerus is still mad that Champa is taking matters into his own hands without asking first. On the verge of fighting, Whis urges them to settle the matter peacefully through a game of rock-paper-scissors. While the two are rapidly going at it, Vados notices Frost walking away from the arena. He makes his way to the cube they traveled on. Next to it, a large some of gold and other treasures lie in a tall pile, set aside by Champa to divide among each member of his team. They can take however much they want if they won, but if not, it goes without saying that they would not get a share. It seems as if Frost intends to steal the money and escape using the cube, but just as he is about to enter it, a voice tells him to stop. It belongs to Hit, referred to as the legendary assassin by Frost. He suspects that either Champa or a survivor from one of his target planets ordered Hit to come kill him. Hit remains silent and blasts multiple holes throughout Frost’s body. Frost falls to the ground. Hit states that the cube was promised to him, and he sets out with Frost back to the arena. Vados watches this interaction, pleased that she didn’t have to step in after all.
Back at the arena, it seems as if Champa, whose hand has become numb, lost the rock-paper-scissors battle. Beerus, with an intact hand, accepts the new rule, as Vegeta does not care either way. The next match is announced. Vegeta will fight Autta Magetta, who nearly topples the ring on impact due to his mere weight. The Kaioshin from Universe 6 confirm that he is not a robot, but a Metalman of the 66950-type galaxies. It seems as if even their Universe 7 counterparts have not heard of these beings. Due to his clumsy behaviour, Vegeta predicts Magetta’s fighting style right off the bat. And the battle begins. Magetta slowly approaches Vegeta and slams his fist into the ground, creating a large hole in the ring. Vegeta is pleased to find that his prediction is right: Magetta is the type to use his power to cover for his lack of speed. As a result, Vegeta, bestowed with both those gifts, easily dodges Magetta’s attacks and counters with three kicks to the head that produce vibrations that make everyones’ ears ring. Magetta begins to bash his own head in, to Vegeta’s confusion. Goku and Piccolo suspect that he might actually be a robot after all. Magetta pulls his head out from where he bashed it without a scratch on him. Magma burning within him, Magetta charges toward Vegeta, impressed at the improvement in not only power, but speed as well. After nearly escaping his attack, Vegeta concludes that it may be safer to avoid close combat. Magetta prepares for another attack, spinning around as fast as a tornado, but Vegeta easily avoids this by flying away. Magetta stops in his tracks unexpectedly, just staring at Vegeta, who is dangerously close to the barrier. Goku shouts to him to watch his back, but Vegeta is fully aware of the barrier. He suspects Champa’s ulterior motive for creating this new rule: to restrict mid-air combat, Magetta’s weakness. He sends Magetta a barrage of energy blasts, which have little effect on him. Magetta counters the blasts with his own attack, which Beerus again suspects is cheating by weapon. However, the referee explains that this is Magetta’s lava saliva, coming from within his body. It is not a weapon, and thus not against the rules. Over time the saliva grows stronger overtime and after a while completely overpowers Vegeta’s blasts; he gets out of the way before it can hit him, although flying at a much slower pace. Piccolo worries that Vegeta has become too focused on the barrier and as a result has restricted his movement. He is enveloped by smoke, but, as Magetta is not the only one who can power up, he clears his path by transforming into a Super Saiyan. Magetta responds by powering up even more, heating up significantly. So much so that it really bothers Vegeta, sweating profusely and breathing deeply. Whis is very worried about this development.
