Six months after the fierce battle with Majin Buu. While the days pass peacefully, Goku works tilling the soil like Chi-Chi had ordered him, while still finding time to train. Meanwhile, newly-weds Gohan and Videl are living happily, but…?!
The above details reveal the Dragon Ball Super episode one title, as well as information as to when exactly the series will take place; 6 months following the defeat of Majin Buu. With that said, not only does Dragon Ball Super take place before Battle of Gods, which takes place 4 years after Buu’s defeat, but also before the Jump Super Anime Tour Special, which takes place just 2 years after the defeat of Buu.
Toei Animation announced the production of Dragon Ball Super (Japanese title; tentative for English release), the first all-new Dragon Ball television series to be released in 18 years. Dragon Ball Super will begin in syndication on Sunday mornings on Fuji TV in Japan on July 5, 2015, with Norihito Sumitomo returning as its musical composer, and Tadayoshi Yamamuro as the series’ character designer. No information has been given regarding an international release. Although there is no definitive answer as to where exactly Dragon Ball Super will “fit into the Dragon Ball timeline”, we do know that Dragon Ball Super will, “follow the aftermath of Goku’s fierce battle with Majin Buu, as he attempts to maintain earth’s fragile peace”, and will be, “overseen by Dragon Ball’s original creator, Akira Toriyama”.
