As promised, the official Dragon Ball Super website has been updated with some new content. The website update shows Goku in his traditional dogi, Vegeta in his Saiyan armor, and Krillin, Piccolo, Bulma, Chi-Chi, Goten, Trunks, Majin Buu, Mr. Satan, Videl and Gohan all wearing what they wore in the Dragon Ball Z 2013 movie, Battle of Gods. In addition, not only are Beerus and Whis shown, but two new characters as well. We have what appears to be potentially a God (maybe a God of Destruction?!) from one of the 12 universes Beerus spoke of in Battle of Gods, along side a female character that is the same race as, and is wearing similar attire to that of Whis.
Toei Animation announced the production of Dragon Ball Super (Japanese title; tentative for English release), the first all-new Dragon Ball television series to be released in 18 years. Dragon Ball Super will begin in syndication on Sunday mornings on Fuji TV in Japan on July 5, 2015, with Norihito Sumitomo returning as its musical composer, and Tadayoshi Yamamuro as the series’ character designer. No information has been given regarding an international release. Although there is no definitive answer as to where exactly Dragon Ball Super will “fit into the Dragon Ball timeline”, we do know that Dragon Ball Super will, “follow the aftermath of Goku’s fierce battle with Majin Buu, as he attempts to maintain earth’s fragile peace”, and will be, “overseen by Dragon Ball’s original creator, Akira Toriyama”.
