It’s Sunday morning in Japan and the first teaser trailer for the upcoming new Dragon Ball TV series titled “Dragon Ball Super“ has aired on Fuji TV, alongside this weeks episode of Dragon Ball Kai! The trailer was first announced on the official Dragon Ball Super Twitter page, along with a promised tease of the series’ opening theme titled, “Chōzetsu ☆ Dynamic!!”, performed by Kazuya Yoshii. Toei Animation announced the production of Dragon Ball Super (Japanese title; tentative for English release), the first all-new Dragon Ball television series to be released in 18 years. Dragon Ball Super will begin in syndication on Sunday mornings on Fuji TV in Japan on July 5, 2015, with Norihito Sumitomo returning as its musical composer. No information has been given regarding an international release. Although there is no definitive answer as to where exactly Dragon Ball Super will “fit into the Dragon Ball timeline”, we do know that Dragon Ball Super will, “follow the aftermath of Goku’s fierce battle with Majin Buu, as he attempts to maintain earth’s fragile peace”, and will be, “overseen by Dragon Ball’s original creator, Akira Toriyama”.
